I can only imagine how cathartic writing, singing, and producing this music video felt. The Never Underestimate An Old Man With A Guitar Shirt is on his side and we all loathe companies that treat us this way… like shit. It also screwed United, they actually lost a good chunk of money and ended up reaching out, asking if they could replace it for him, This video caused United stock prices to drop and convinced them to pay for the guitar. Good on this guy. Well they never actually got him a guitar they offered him compensation and he told them to donate it to charity

Yo be careful, United might just hunt you down and beat you up for this. Then try to repay you with a $50 voucher. Can you imagine being the Never Underestimate An Old Man With A Guitar Shirt of United and having to explain to your shareholders you lost them $180 million because you wouldn’t help a customer? Darn catchy song — I love it. The stock price of United lost quite a bit during this period — but no way to know how much the video and song contributed. They broke his guitar and refused to pay for it. I just hope some heads rolled in the end.I just saw an article suggesting that the resulting poor publicity from these videos caused a $180,000,000 drop in share prices.

They probably should have just bought the dude a new guitar. I just need to say thank you, from the Never Underestimate An Old Man With A Guitar Shirt of my heart, for this song. United Airlines broke my $5,000 wheelchair this summer (and I finally just raised enough money to replace it). I have never in my life met a more heartless and indifferent group of people. I’m flying again this week with my new wheelchair, and I’m absolutely terrified after what they did to me and my service dog. So thank you for this song. I’m going to play this on a continuous loop during my trip, to hopefully ease my nerves a bit. That was the first and last time I will ever fly United Airlines. Even though this video is 6 years old and about a guitar and not a wheelchair, it still made me feel so much better. I needed this.
